SGS Maine Pointe expands leadership team with key appointments

SGS Maine Pointe, a supply chain and operations consulting firm, has hired three senior leaders in its US and Australia offices: Alex Bevacqua, Julie Brignac, and Lance Raley.

Alex Bevacqua (Sydney, Australia) joins the firm as managing director, mining and metals, and co-leader of the natural resources sector alongside Sheehan Gallagher, who joined SGS Maine Pointe last year.

Bevacqua brings over 27 years of management consulting experience across strategy development, performance improvement, and transformation. He has advised businesses and governments on mining-related strategy and policy across four continents.

Bevacqua was previously a managing director at Accenture, where he led the natural resources practice in Australia and New Zealand. Before that, he was global head of Wood Mackenzie’s mining and metals consulting practice, which he built out from zero to $50 million.

Bevacqua began his career as a strategy consultant at PwC.

He has an MBA from Bond University in Australia and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Buenos Aires.

Julie Brignac (United States) joins as practice leader of SGS Maine Pointe’s procurement business. She has over 30 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, operational excellence, and finance at large corporations and consultancies.

She most recently was president and unit leader of the global procurement BPO business at WNS, a business process management specialist. Before that, Brignac was managing director of Accenture’s North American West region procurement BPO business and a principal in Vantage Partners’ supply chain management practice.

Earlier in her career, Brignac was chief procurement officer for Brambles, VP for global procurement at Newell Brands, and director for integrated supply chain operations at Honeywell.

She has an MBA from the University of Maryland and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia.

Lance Raley (Dallas, TX) joins as managing director, natural resources, focusing on oil and gas. He has 25 years of industry experience across the hydrocarbon value chain. Raley has extensive expertise in asset utilization, cycle-time reduction, supply chain optimization, commodity trading, logistics, digital transformation, and cost structure improvement, among other areas.

He previously was an EVP at consulting firm Alexander Proudfoot, where he led the energy sector. Before that, he was president of Able Energy, an exploration and production firm, and SVP of Roan Resources, a mid-sized oilfield services company.

Raley has dual bachelor’s degrees in business/corporate communications and chemistry from the University of Oklahoma.
