Since 2021, Dr. Manning has served as a Senior Consultant and Product Lead for Student Finance at Workday. In this role, she collaborates with strategic higher education clients to understand their business requirements, configure financial systems, and automate processes to enhance efficiency. Her expertise was instrumental in the successful implementation of a new student finance system for Howard University in 2024, a project where she continues to provide guidance. Dr. Manning is dedicated to advancing these solutions for institutions such as Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, American University, and DePauw University, leveraging insights from each implementation to refine future projects.
Prior to her tenure at Workday, Dr. Manning was the Controller at Tallahassee State College from 2011 to 2021. She was responsible for the institution’s financial stability, overseeing the diverse funds and revenue streams essential to its operations. During this time, she earned a reputation as a trusted advisor for students on financial matters. Her contributions to the college also included roles as an Adjunct Professor (2016-2017) and Administrative Compliance Officer (2009-2011). She further extended her passion for education as an Adjunct Professor at Flagler College from 2017 to 2021.
Dr. Manning’s earlier leadership experience includes serving as Director of Financial Services at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University from 2002 to 2009, where she managed complex financial operations. Her career began in public service, with foundational roles as an Internal Auditor for the State of Florida and an External Auditor for the Office of the Auditor General, which provided her with deep expertise in governmental accounting practices.
An active contributor to her profession, Dr. Manning has held numerous leadership positions. She has served on the board of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) since 2018, including as President of the Tallahassee Chapter (2020-2022). She is also a board member for the Institute for Nonprofit Innovation and Excellence and is a past president of The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. (2000-2001).
Dr. Manning’s academic credentials include a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Strategic Leadership from Walden University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Business Administration from Edward Waters University. Her professional certifications include Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Inspector General, and Workday Pro Contracts to Cash Services.
Her accomplishments have been recognized with accolades such as the Product Lead Award from Workday and the Association of Government Accountants’ award for advancing government accountability. Dr. Manning is also the author of a doctoral study titled, “Strategies for Reducing Employee Absenteeism in Retail Stores.”
Beyond her professional life, Dr. Manning is deeply committed to community service, volunteering with organizations like Shoes4School, Habitat for Humanity, and her church, and is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
