Strategic Gears welcomes five senior leaders to KSA team
Strategic Gears has strengthened its team with the appointment of five new senior leaders.
Abdulaziz Alshathri, Tariq Rasul, Amer Tubeishat, Saeed Ghanem, and Waqas Hamid have joined the management consulting firm, each bringing a wealth of experience in their respective domains and industries.
In a statement welcoming the five senior leaders, Strategic Gears said the additions underscore its commitment to enhancing its expertise and expanding its presence in the region.
Abdulaziz Alshathri has a background in strategy development, governance, and project management. Prior to joining Strategic Gears, he served in several roles within governmental institutions in Saudi Arabia including being a director for organizational and national strategies.
He also gained substantial experience working with leading consulting firms both within Saudi Arabia and internationally. His educational background in change management and process development further bolsters his expertise, making him a valuable addition to the Strategic Gears team.
Tariq Rasul has over two decades of experience across the private and public sector in multiple geographies, primarily in the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. His expertise includes leading and delivering national strategies, digital / technology solutions, turnkey solutions, and business transformations.
Rasul in addition advises several start-ups on strategy development and execution and provides mentorship to leaders.
Amer Tubeishat has over seventeen years of experience in advisory and consulting services on strategy, public policy, performance management, labor market, municipal development, systems, socioeconomic development, governance, and sustainability. He has worked across the Middle East, including on projects in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and Syria.
Tubeishat previously served international consultancy firms, the World Bank, and USAID, among others.
Saeed Ghanem has more than a dozen years of experience in management consulting with a specialization in business operations, organizational excellence, operating models, process re-engineering, and large-scale transformation. He has worked on projects across the public sector, including for government and semi-government institutions across the GCC region.
Waqas Hamid joins Strategic Gears from Europe, where he over the past decade built a career in consulting with leading global firms and in banking. An expert in governance, risk & compliance, Hamid has supported multiple organizations in the design and implementation of risk management frameworks, enhancing financial crime, and compliance to reporting standards.
More recently, Hamid also specialized in ESG strategy and risk, advising clients on how they can integrate ESG ambitions into their operations.
The arrival of the new team members continues the growth of Strategic Gears in Saudi Arabia, where the privately-held consultancy is deeply involved in the realization of the Vision 2030 agenda. The firm also has offices in Cairo and London.
